Educare Central Maine is hiring a Preschool Teacher at the NEW Hight Family Early Learning Center in Skowhegan. The role focuses on children ages 3-5 in a full day/year program, within a supportive team environment that emphasizes school readiness and developmental progress.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's in ECE (or related field) and Maine 081 certification, with experience in group care and a strong emphasis on communication, documentation, and applying PreK for ME curriculum.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• 081 certification from Maine Department of Education.
• Preferred coursework in human services/family systems.
• Experience in a group care setting for children ages 3-5.
• Meet requirements of agency & State of Maine Child Care Licensing regulations (background checks, fingerprinting, and physical exams).
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication (written & verbal) and documentation skills, critical thinking skills, proficient computer skills, and group management skills.

Kennebec Valley Community Action Program (KVCAP), which seeks to strengthen individuals, families and communities through direct services and community collaborations that create solutions to poverty, is looking to hire a Preschool Teacher at our NEWHight Family Early Learning Center in Skowhegan.

The Hight Center, located within the Margaret Chase Smith Community School, provides early care and education to children ages 0 to 5. This position is in our Preschool wing working with children ages 3-5. This is a full day/full year position.

Responsibilities

• Working within a team to support children’s developmental progress and school readiness
• Supporting child assessment
• Individualizing for diverse learners
• Supporting the implementation of PreK for ME Curriculum
