Job summary

AMIkids seeks a Lead Teacher to coordinate the educational assessment program, teach middle and high school classes, and support instructors in curriculum development. The role ensures compliance with state and local education requirements and maintains educational plans for each student.

Responsibilities include developing goals, monitoring progress, and ensuring safe, engaging learning environments aligned with the AMIkids Way and Positive Youth Development principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and state teaching certification are required.
• Two years of experience working with youth may be preferred or required by program standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure quality educational components and compliance with education requirements.
• Implement AMIkids Way and Positive Youth Development in interactions with students.
• Assist instructors with lesson planning, curriculum development, and teaching strategies.
• Instruct youth in assigned classes and monitor progress toward goals.
• Develop and monitor educational goals and progress for each youth.
• Maintain educational plans and documentation per program standards.
