Job summary

KinderCare Learning Companies is seeking a Lead Teacher in Illinois to directly support children's education every day. You will lead and mentor staff, implement curriculum aligned with each child's needs, and partner with families and center leadership to achieve enrollment and accreditation goals.

The role requires CDA credential or NAECY candidacy, state trainer approval (preferred), and 2–3 years of early childhood experience.

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service skills and strong organizational abilities.
• 2-3 years of Early Childhood Education experience (preferred).
• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred).
• Active CDA Credential or NAECY candidacy (required or meeting state qualifications).
• Approved state trainer (preferred).
• Meet state-specific qualifications for the role or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor less experienced teachers in the classroom.
• Implement curriculum consistent with each child's needs.
• Create a safe, nurturing environment for learning and play.
• Partner with parents to support child education and care.
• Support center goals around enrollment, accreditation and engagement.
• Cultivate relationships with families, teachers, licensing authorities, and partners.
