Job summary

KinderCare Education LLC in Illinois is seeking a Lead Teacher to guide and mentor fellow educators, implement the center's curriculum, and create a safe, nurturing environment where children can learn and grow. You will engage with families to support each child's development and partner with staff to meet enrollment and accreditation goals.

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service and organizational skills.
• Active CDA Credential or meet NAEYC candidacy requirements.
• Approved state trainer (preferred).
• 2-3 years Early Childhood Education experience (preferred).
• Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (preferred).
• Meet state-specific qualifications or willingness to obtain.
• CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to lift at least 40 pounds and work indoors/outdoors.
• Read, write, understand and speak English with children and parents.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor teachers in the classroom; model behaviors and provide feedback.
• Implement KinderCare's curriculum in a way that suits each child's needs.
• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
• Partner and connect with parents to provide the best care and education.
• Support center success; work with staff and leadership on enrollment, accreditation and engagement.
• Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers, licensing authorities and partners.
