Job summary

KinderCare Learning Companies in Illinois seeks a Lead Teacher to guide classrooms, coach peers, and implement our curriculum to meet each child’s needs. You’ll create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn, and partner with families to support their child’s growth.

The role requires 2–3 years of early childhood education, a CDA credential (or NAEYC candidacy), CPR/First Aid, and the ability to lift 40 pounds.

Qualifications

• Outstanding customer service and organizational skills required.
• Active CDA Credential or NAEYC candidacy.
• CPR and First Aid Certification or willingness to obtain.
• 2–3 years Early Childhood Education experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education.
• Meet state-specific qualifications for the role or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to lift 40 pounds and work indoors or outdoors.
• English reading, writing and speaking to communicate with children and parents.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach and mentor teachers in the classroom.
• Implement KinderCare curriculum to meet each child’s needs.
• Create a safe, nurturing environment for play and learning.
• Partner with parents to support child development.
• Support center goals around enrollment, accreditation and engagement.
• Cultivate positive relationships with families, teachers and licensing authorities.
