Children of America, Inc. is seeking a Lead Teacher in Norwood, MA to implement daily lesson plans and supervise a safe, structured learning area for children from 6 weeks to 12 years.

You will collaborate with a team of educators and engage families to track progress using COA's Mind and Body Matters curriculum. The role emphasizes building positive relationships, delivering age-appropriate activities, and demonstrating empathy toward children and parents.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 12 credits in Early Childhood Education with a Level 2 Lead Teacher Certification in Preschool or Infant/Toddler or Associates degree in Early Childhood Education.
  • Minimum 1 year of licensed childcare experience.
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Must meet state licensing requirements.
  • Strong organizational and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
  • Flexible and adaptable in challenging situations.
  • Commitment to professional growth.

Who You'll Interact With

This role interacts daily with children, parents, management, and teaching staff to support a collaborative and positive learning environment.

Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum 12 credits in Early Childhood Education with a level 2 Lead Teacher Certification in Preschool or Infant/Toddler or Associates degree in Early Childhood Education
  • Minimum 1 Year of experience in a licensed childcare setting

Hourly rate: $20-22 per hour. Final compensation will be based on experience, skills, location, and internal equity. This role may also be eligible for performance-based incentives or other benefits.
