Job summary

Elm Community Charter School is seeking a Leave Replacement Lead Teacher who is highly organized with strong rapport with students. You will support uninterrupted instruction, collaborate with the Principal and Instructional Leadership Team, and help ensure a smooth school year for Elm students.

The ideal candidate has certification in education, a Master’s degree preferred, and at least 2 years of elementary teaching experience, with a commitment to equity and collaborative practice throughout

Qualifications

• Certification in Special Education, Elementary Education, or ESL.
• Master’s Degree in Education preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in elementary education.

Responsibilities

• Builds a positive classroom culture to foster love of learning.
• Establishes a proactive classroom management system and strong student rapport.
• Teaches with an inquiry-based curriculum and adjusts instruction based on data.
• Adapts curricula and pacing to student needs and assessment cycles.
• Designs lesson plans and small group instruction aligned to outcomes.
• Supports students with diverse needs including IEPs and emergent bilingual learners.
• Communicates with families about student performance and behavior.
• Assists with school operations including arrival, dismissal, meals, and recess.
