Qualifications

• Proven classroom experience in early childhood education or elementary school teaching, preferably in special education or inclusive settings.
• Strong background in curriculum development, lesson planning, and literacy education for children with disabilities or neurodevelopmental disorders.
• Knowledge of behavioral management techniques for students with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs.
• Familiarity with autism spectrum disorders support strategies is highly valued.
• Knowledge of special education law (IEP processes) and instructional modifications.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, including literacy, math, communication skills, and social-emotional learning.
• Adapt instructional strategies to meet the individual needs of students with disabilities, neurodevelopmental disorders, or developmental disabilities.
• Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive reinforcement and behavioral health strategies to create a safe, nurturing learning environment.
• Collaborate with speech therapists, behavioral therapists, special education coordinators, and other professionals to support progress through IEP goals and instructional modifications.
• Utilize educational technology tools to enhance lesson delivery and engagement across subjects.
• Maintain detailed documentation of student progress, conduct assessments, and communicate with parents through parent-teacher conferences.
• Lead classroom activities that promote early childhood education principles and inclusive participation for all students.
