Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• CDA credential is preferred.
• 1-2 years of experience with young children in a licensed childcare or preschool setting preferred.
• State-required pre-service training has been completed.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in handling children.

Responsibilities

• Curriculum and Instruction: Implement age-appropriate lesson plans using the Wonder of Learning curriculum.
• Classroom Management: Create and maintain a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
• Family Communication: Maintain open, effective communication with families and guardians.
• Health and Safety: Supervise activities to uphold health, safety standards, and licensing regulations.
• Professional Development: Participate in ongoing development and training opportunities.
• Assessment and Documentation: Observe and document children's progress to share with families.
• Team Collaboration: Support Assistant Teachers and Resource Teachers.
• Behavior Guidance: Model positive guidance strategies for social-emotional growth.

Education
