Stratton Mountain Resort is seeking a Lead Teacher for the Stratton Childcare Center. This full-time, year-round role involves creating a safe, engaging classroom for infants, toddlers, and young children, and collaborating with supervisors and families to deliver developmentally appropriate curriculum.

The position offers benefits eligibility and employee housing is available. Compensation ranges from $24.00 to $27.00 per hour, based on experience, with health and other employee benefits

Qualifikationen

• Must be at least 20 years old.
• Minimum 1 year of experience working with children Grade 3 or younger.
• Associates Degree in Early Childhood, Child Development or related field; or
• Child Care Certificate from Community College of Vermont; or 21 related college credits.
• First Aid and CPR certification (or ability to obtain within 1 month of hire).
• Ability to lift 40 lbs regularly and stay active throughout the day.

Aufgaben

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum that promotes learning through play and exploration.
• Create a welcoming and engaging classroom environment that fosters growth.
• Observe and assess children's development over time.
• Greet and interact with parents/guardians in a professional manner and share updates on children's daily experiences.
• Lead parent-teacher meetings biannually.
• Work cooperatively with childcare staff and participate in staff meetings and PD hours.
