The Goddard School located at 1720 Crescent Plaza Drive, Houston, TX 77077 is seeking a passionate Lead Teacher. You will lead daily activities, implement our Wonder of Learning curriculum, and foster a nurturing environment focused on each child’s growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; associate's or bachelor's in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• CDA preferred or CDA equivalent recognized by state/licensing.
• 1-2 years of experience with young children in licensed childcare or preschool settings.
• Must complete state-required pre-service training.
• Ability to build relationships with children, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Implement age-appropriate lesson plans using our Wonder of Learning curriculum.
• Create a safe, nurturing, inclusive classroom environment.
• Communicate openly with families about child progress and daily activities.
• Supervise children to uphold health and safety standards and licensing regulations.
• Participate in ongoing professional development and training opportunities.
• Observe and document children’s learning to share insights with families.
• Support Assistant and Resource Teachers to foster team collaboration.
• Model positive guidance for social-emotional growth and conflict resolution.
