Job summary

The Learning Experience in Commerce City, CO is seeking Lead Teachers to foster a happy, stimulating classroom, implement the LEAP Curriculum, and mentor fellow educators.

Candidates should have at least six months of professional teaching experience, be passionate about toddlers, and meet state guidelines; preferred degrees and CPR/First Aid certification. We offer flexible schedules and professional development.

Qualifications

• Six months of professional teaching experience minimum.
• Must love working with Toddlers.
• Associate degree in ECE or related field preferred; HS diploma/GED required.
• PDIS Level 2 or higher credential.
• Knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP).
• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• Must meet state guidelines for the role.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and mentor less experienced teachers in your classroom; model behaviors and provide feedback.
• Manage the classroom, creating a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for children 2.5–3 years old.
• Serve as a role model, using a growth mindset to develop young minds and inspire a love of learning.
• Implement the L.E.A.P. Curriculum® with Infants, Toddlers, and/or Preschoolers according to each child’s needs.
• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
• Communicate regularly with parents about their children’s adventures and achievements via apps and discussions.
• Support center success by partnering with staff and leadership to boost enrollment and engagement.
• Build relationships with families and coworkers to foster a dynamic, playful learning atmosphere.

Role Responsibilities:

• Lead, coach, and mentor less experienced teachers in your classroom; model behaviors and provide feedback.
• Responsible for the overall classroom management, leading a safe, nurturing, and engaging learning environment for children ages 2.5-3 years of age
• Serve as a role model, using a growth mindset to develop young minds and inspire a love of learning
• Implement our proprietary L.E.A.P. Curriculum®, working with Infants, Toddlers, and/or Preschool children in a way that is consistent with the unique needs of each child.
• Create a safe, nurturing environment where children can play and learn.
• Communicate regularly with parents, sharing their children’s latest adventures and achievements through a variety of avenues, including mobile apps and personal discussions.
• Support your center’s success, partnering with center staff and leadership to achieve goals around enrollment and engagement.
• Build relationships with families and coworkers and create a dynamic environment where play and learning happen seamlessly.

Qualifications:

• 1 year of professional teaching experience preferred. At least six months of professional teaching experience required.
• Must love working with Toddlers
• Associate degree or higher in ECE or related degree preferred. High school diploma/GED required.
• PDIS credential of Level 2 or higher
• Demonstrated knowledge of developmentally appropriate practices (DAP).
• CPR and First Aide certification preferred
