Job summary

BrightPath Kids Inc in Edison Park, IL is seeking a Lead Teacher to work closely with fellow teachers and families, creating a home-away-from-home environment for children ages 6 weeks to 12 years according to NAEYC guidelines.

You will supervise daily activities, develop developmentally appropriate curricula, collaborate with families on plans, and communicate progress with parents, while meeting state childcare employment criteria.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education/related field required.
• 1 year of experience in a licensed child care facility preferred.
• Strong customer service skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain organized.
• Ability to work within regular operating hours.
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks – 12 years in one assigned classroom.
• Create developmentally appropriate curriculum according to NAEYC standards.
• Curate programs and activities based on children’s interests and learning styles.
• Maintain a warm and safe environment that is clean and permits children to grow and explore.
• Partner with families to create plans to provide the best care and education for their children.
• Provide effective communication with parents/guardians about their child.
