Job summary

The Learning Experience is seeking a caring and energetic Lead Teacher to join our East Brunswick daycare and preschool program for 2-year-olds. You will lead daily routines, implement the LEAP Curriculum, and create engaging activities to foster language, social skills and independence.

This full-time role offers a Monday–Friday schedule, opportunities for professional development, and a supportive environment focused on developmentally appropriate practice and family collaboration.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Previous daycare/preschool/early childhood experience preferred.
• Experience with toddlers or 2-year-olds strongly preferred.
• Lead teacher or classroom leadership experience is a plus.
• CDA or ECE coursework is a plus.
• Patient, nurturing, dependable and energetic.
• Strong classroom management and communication skills.
• Ability to meet New Jersey childcare licensing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily classroom routines and learning experiences for 2-year-old children
• Implement The Learning Experience's L.E.A.P. Curriculum
• Create engaging activities through art, music, movement, sensory play, stories, and hands-on learning
• Support language, cognitive, physical, and social-emotional development
• Encourage independence, self-help skills, and positive peer interactions
• Support meals, diapering/toileting, rest time, outdoor play, and transitions
• Maintain consistent classroom routines and positive behavior guidance
• Observe children's development and maintain required classroom documentation
• Build strong relationships and communicate regularly with families
• Collaborate with Assistant Teachers and center leadership
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom
• Follow New Jersey childcare licensing, health, and safety requirements

The Learning Experience - East Brunswick is seeking a caring and energetic Lead Teacher to join our early childhood education team and lead a classroom of 2-year-old children.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced daycare or preschool teacher who enjoys helping young children build language, independence, confidence, and social skills. You'll create a structured and nurturing classroom where children learn through play, exploration, and positive relationships.

Key Responsibilities
