Qualifications

• Strong understanding of child development principles and best practices in education and classroom management
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Knowledge of classroom health, safety, and sanitation guidelines and ability to closely adhere to the guidelines
• Problem-solving and mediation skills
• Negative TB test, Fingerprints and Mandatory training classes through Nevada Registry

Responsibilities

• Create and follow a age appropriate curriculum
• Teaching developmental skills
• Assist children with developing social and emotional skills
• Use a range of instructional methods and learning techniques
• Communicate well with parents and other school personnel
• Teach and assess student's skills and performance to ensure they are meeting developmental milestones
• Teaching children to be independent
• Teach using the Love and Logic Philosophy
• Promote Kindness and Compassion
