Job summary

Family and Child Empowerment Services (FACES) in San Francisco seeks an Education and Inclusion Coach to support our FCCHEN providers and the children they serve. The role blends on-site and remote coaching to improve quality, professional development, and evidence-based practices in early childhood education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of lead teacher experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of coaching adult learners.
• Experience supporting children with developmental delays or disabilities.
• Hold or qualify for California Child Site Supervisor permit.
• Fluent in Cantonese and English; written Cantonese/Mandarin a plus.
• Experience coaching staff and leading trainings.
• Willingness for weekend/evening trainings (overtime per CA law).
• Knowledge of ECE curricula, assessments, screening tools (FCCERS, CLASS, ASQ, DRDP).
• Preferred: CLASS (Infant/Toddler/PreK) and PITC Facilitator certifications.
• Able to lift 10–50 pounds and travel within SF.
• Valid CA driver’s license and insurance.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one coaching to FCC providers implementing best practices.
• Support developmentally appropriate classroom activities and child progress tracking.
• Collect and analyze educational data (DRDP, IEP/IFSP, licensing, health docs).
• Conduct FCCERS and CLASS assessments and partner with providers to improve quality.
• Collaborate with coaching team to run trainings and PLCs.
• Travel to FCC homes/centers in SF for coaching and site visits.
• Participate in trainings/meetings with FCCHEN and SFDEC.
