Your Role as a Lead Teacher:

• Engage & Educate – Deliver lessons according to the classroom teacher’s plans.
• Mentorship – Serve as a mentor to provisionally licensed teachers.
• Classroom Management – Implement effective behavioral systems and trauma-informed care strategies.
• Student Support – Provide accommodations for students with IEPs.
• Collaboration – Work closely with paraprofessionals and school staff to create a safe and structured learning environment.
• Crisis Management – Respond to situations and assist students in maintaining a positive learning environment.

What We’re Looking For:

• Education – Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college.
• Licensure – Holds or is eligible for a Virginia teaching license, with an endorsement in the appropriate subject area.
• Knowledge – Demonstrated expertise in subject content, curriculum, and effective teaching methodologies.
• Experience – Prior experience in education or working with students is preferred but not required.
• Adaptability – Ability to work across different classrooms, grade levels, and student needs.
• Technology Skills – Comfortable using instructional technology.
• Certifications (Upon Hire) – CPR, First Aid, Crisis Management, and a driver’s license with a good record.
