Job summary

Children of America is hiring a Lead Teacher in Philadelphia to join a nationwide accredited preschool with 65+ locations. You will collaborate with a team of educators to deliver developmentally appropriate activities for children aged 6 weeks to 12 years using the Mind and Body Matters curriculum.

The role requires an Associate degree in Early Childhood Education, 2+ years of licensed childcare experience, CPR/First Aid certification, and strong communication with families.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Early Childhood Education required or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a licensed childcare setting.
• CPR and First Aid certification, with state licensing requirements met.
• Strong organizational and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to build positive relationships with children, families and staff.

Responsibilities

• Carry out daily lesson plans and deliver age-appropriate activities.
• Create a safe, structured and positive learning environment.
• Communicate professionally with parents, children and team members.

About Children of America (COA): Join Children of America - a nationally accredited preschool with 65+ locations across 18 states. Who You'll Interact With

This role interacts daily with children, parents, management, and teaching staff to support a collaborative and positive learning environment.

Minimum Requirements

• Minimum Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education
• Minimum 2 Years of experience in a licensed childcare setting
• CPR and First Aid certification
• Must meet all state licensing requirements
• Strong organizational and decision-making skills

Hourly rate: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour. Final compensation will be based on experience, skills, location, and internal equity. This role may also be eligible for performance-based incentives or other benefits.
