About Children of America (COA) We're a diverse community of passionate educators committed to excellence. Our lead teachers are responsible for planning lessons and executing our curriculum. You will collaborate with a talented team in a supportive environment that encourages professional growth and passion for early childhood education. Our program serves children from 6 weeks to 12 years old, including Infant, Toddler, Preschool, Pre-K, Before and After Care, and Summer Camp.

Who Would I Interact with?

In this role, you will interact daily with Assistant Teachers, children, parents, management, and fellow staff.

What are the requirements for this job?
  • EC1 and EC2 - Looking for a Lead Pre-K Teacher
  • 1 year of experience in licensed childcare preferred
  • Flexible in challenging situations

What are the day-to-day responsibilities?
  • Implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum with a gentle touch
  • Handle the demands of infants and toddlers at various stages
  • Create a positive, organized learning environment
  • Ensure safety and structure in the learning environment
  • Be empathetic to children's emotions and parents' needs
  • Plan daily lessons supporting social, emotional, physical, and intellectual growth
  • Communicate professionally with parents and staff
  • Utilize technology to communicate children's progress
  • Set age-appropriate expectations based on developmental levels
  • Be creative, passionate, and have fun
