Job summary

Happy Days Preschool and Summer Camp-Edison is seeking a Lead Teacher to guide young learners and help them grow with engaging activities and nurturing guidance.

You will use Creative Curriculum, ensure safety, and build strong parent connections through the Engagement App while collaborating with a supportive team in a warm, family-like setting.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills and ability to foster strong connections with families.
• Patience and creativity to engage young children in learning experiences.
• Team-oriented mindset and willingness to collaborate with staff.
• CPR/First Aid certifications or willingness to obtain.
• Experience with Creative Curriculum, NJGROW, or NAEYC is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Child Development: Create exciting lesson plans and activities to support growth in multiple domains.
• Safety First: Maintain a secure, clean environment and supervise children during all activities.
• Curriculum Fun: Implement and adapt curriculum with creativity within our educational philosophy.
• Friendship Building: Communicate progress with parents via the Engagement App and build trust.
• Team Spirit: Collaborate with fellow childcare professionals to maintain a warm, caring atmosphere.

Your Role:

As a childcare teacher with us, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the futures of our little ones. Your days will be filled with laughter, learning, and endless opportunities to make a positive impact on children's lives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Child Development: Create exciting lesson plans and activities using Creative Curriculum that help our students grow physically, socially, and emotionally. You'll get to witness those "aha": moments as they learn and explore.

• Safety First: Our kids' safety is our top priority. You'll ensure a secure, clean environment and keep a watchful eye on them during indoor and outdoor adventures.

• Curriculum Fun: Get creative with our curriculum! We encourage you to bring your own flair while following our educational philosophy.

• Friendship Building: Build strong connections with parents and guardians, keeping them in the loop about their child's progress and memorable moments through the Engagement App.

• Team Spirit: Join our fantastic team of childcare professionals and work together to create a warm and caring atmosphere.

Qualifications:

• 1 year experience as a Lead Teacher
• A passion for working with children and helping them flourish.
• Great communication skills because we are all about building connections.
• Patience, creativity, and an eagerness to be a part of a fantastic team
• Experience with Creative Curriculum, NJGROW, NAEYC is a plus but not required
• A background in Early Childhood Education or related fields is a plus but not required.
• Ability to hold up to 40 lbs.
• CPR/First Aid Certifications
