Job summary

Brightside Academy in Pennsylvania is seeking a caring, confident Lead Teacher to create a safe, engaging classroom where children can learn, grow, and thrive.

You’ll lead a high-quality, age-appropriate classroom, develop engaging lesson plans, maintain a welcoming environment, and partner with families to support each child’s development while collaborating with staff and center leadership in a fast-paced setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field (or Associate’s with 2+ years of experience)
• Strong classroom management and communication abilities
• Ability to read/write English and use basic Microsoft Office tools

Responsibilities

• Lead a high-quality, age-appropriate classroom experience
• Create and implement engaging lesson plans and activities
• Maintain a safe, welcoming, and well-organized classroom
• Support each child’s developmental needs and adjust activities as needed
• Partner with families through clear, positive communication
• Work closely with assistant teachers and center leadership
• Follow health, safety, licensing, and classroom-ratio requirements

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Special Education, Elementary Education, Psychology, Social Work, or a related human services field; or anAssociate’s degree in one of these fields plus at least 2 years of experience working with children

• Strong classroom management, organization, and communication skills

• A nurturing, dependable, energetic approach to working with children

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment

• Ability to read/write English and use basic Microsoft Office tools

The $1,000 sign-on bonus is paid in three installments at 30 days, 60 days, and 90 days. Candidates must start within 30 days of accepting the offer. Minimum education for bonus eligibility is an associate degree in ECE or Elementary Education with 18 ECE credits and the candidate must be hired into a Lead Teacher position in a program classroom.
