Job summary

A premier preschool is seeking an enthusiastic Lead Teacher to foster the development of young minds. The role involves supervising children, implementing lesson plans from the Balanced Learning® approach, and meeting the social and emotional needs of each child. Ideal candidates should have experience in early childhood education and the ability to lift young children safely. This position offers weekdays only, with no nights or weekends, in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Meet basic requirements of local child care regulatory agency.
• Previous teaching or assistant teaching position in a licensed early childhood program preferred.
• Knowledge of the social, emotional and creative needs of young children.
• Be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.

Responsibilities

• Overall supervision and daily class functions of a group of children.
• Observe rules and regulations at the school and the regulatory agencies.
• Assess each child's developmental needs on an ongoing basis.
• Implement lesson plans and daily classroom schedule.
