Job summary

Grand Avenue Preschool in Burr Ridge is seeking a Lead Teacher for our Young Preschool (2-year-old) classroom to provide nurturing, developmentally appropriate instruction. Qualified candidates need a CDA or at least 6 ECE college credits and must pass background checks; experience in education is a plus.

Compensation: $20 - $23/hr. based on education and experience

MainJob Responsibilities:

• Lead all aspects of the classroom in a manner consistent with the philosophy and goals of the center.
• Implement activities that encourage each child’s growth in the areas of emotion, social, cognitive, creative, and physical development.
• Take direction, accept constructive criticism, and feedback, and make improvements and changes as necessary for the betterment of the quality of the program.
• Createandmaintainanenvironment that is clean and safe for all children.
• Establishing a professional level of rapport with each family to provide quality care for the children.
• Physical ability to work around small children including sitting, standing, walking, running, and climbing stairs.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs. and fulfill all physical requirements of the role.
