Job summary

Missouri Department of Revenue is seeking a Lead Customer Service Representative (Non-Supervisory) within the Business Tax Bureau - Excise Tax Section. The role focuses on processing Financial Institutions Tax deposits and returns, handling inquiries, and assisting with tax distributions to MO DOT and local government.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED and at least four years of relevant tax, accounting, or collections experience, with strong accuracy and deadline discipline.

• Four or more years of experience in licensing, registration, collections, tax related work.

Responsibilities

• Process Financial Institutions Tax and Insurance deposits and perform monthly reconciliations of collections.
• Process Financial Institutions Tax returns including billings, credits and refunds.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports for Financial Institutions Tax and Insurance.
• Process Financial Institutions Tax audit confirmations.
• Answer telephone calls and e-mail inquiries regarding Financial Institutions Tax.
• Prepare three annual tax distributions.
• Participate in cross education of other tax distributions in the Excise Tax section.
• Any additional duties, as assigned.
