Job summary

Vector Security is seeking a Lead Systems Technician in Philadelphia, PA, to service and install integrated security systems including burglar, fire alarms, access control, and video. The role requires strong technical aptitude and excellent customer service, with a focus on quality installations and reliable system operation.

You will lead field technicians, diagnose complex issues, program and commission systems, and collaborate with customers to ensure ongoing satisfaction and system uptime.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; technical aptitude valued.
• ESA Alarm Technician Level 2 (or equivalent) preferred; NICET Level 2 preferred for fire/video.
• Strong communication skills and ability to design/understand integrated security systems.

Responsibilities

• Completes servicing and/or installations of integrated security systems (burglar, fire, access, video).
• Performs programming and commissioning for security, fire, access control and video systems.
• Assists with new technician training and knowledge transfer.
• Ensures high-quality customer service and effective stakeholder communication.

Summary

The Lead Systems Technician will be responsible for Servicing and/or Installation of integrated systems including Burglar and Fire Alarms, Access Control, and Video. Possesses strong technical aptitude and effective interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Completes System Servicing and/or Installations of various types of integrated systems.
• Completes Servicing and/or Installation of basic to advanced network devices.
• Completes programming & commissioning for security, fire, access control and video surveillance systems.
• Assists with new technician training.

Qualifications

• Education & Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • 5+ years industry experience - preferred.
  • Minimum of 2-years of fire detection and signaling systems experience (burglary, intrusion, fire alarm, CCTV and access control).
• Certification/License:
  • Must possess a Valid Driver’s License.
  • ESA Certified Alarm Technician Level 2 or equivalent - preferred.
  • NICET Fire or Video Level 2 - preferred.
• Communication:
  • Must be able to effectively communicate with various individuals in a professional manner in order to provide superior customer service.
• Technical:
  • Assists in design of integrated systems; understands software and programming for the primary manufacturers used by their home branch.
  • Possesses the skill to decipher/design integrated systems in conjunction with local jurisdiction requirements.
