Job summary

DSN is seeking a Senior Systems Programmer specialized in Z/OS for a hybrid role in the Philadelphia area. You will manage Z/OS product installation and support, including CA products and IBM tools, and optimize I/O configurations for peak performance.

Ideal candidates possess strong debugging skills, experience with user exits (REXX, COBOL, BAL/Assembler), and a proven track record in mainframe performance tuning and monitoring.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Z/OS systems programmer.
• Strong background in product installation & support (CA/IBM).
• Expertise with user exits using REXX, COBOL, BAL/Assembler.
• Deep knowledge of I/O configuration and mainframe performance tuning.
• Solid debugging skills and familiarity with monitoring tools.

Responsibilities

• Handle Z/OS product installation and ongoing support for CA/IBM products.
• Optimize I/O configurations and tune system performance.
• Develop and maintain user exits using REXX, COBOL and BAL/Assembler.
• Diagnose issues, debug efficiently, and monitor system health.
