Job Description:

This Digital Engineering Architect will oversee and coordinate the design of the segment's digital ecosystem, aligning architecture with the business area's data strategy. The role involves partnering with Centers of Excellence Directors and Chief Engineers to project-manage the integration of Digital Engineering initiatives, including PLM, Model-Based Design, ALM, DevSecOps, MBSE, and Digital Thread into cross-functional systems such as ERP, MES, and Business Intelligence. The role also involves developing mechanisms to monitor engineering project progress and deploying new concepts and technologies to realize a fully integrated Digital Thread.

Essential Functions:

1. Advance L3Harris' ability to transition products to customers using new design methodologies like model-based design and digital engineering.
2. Assess current tools and processes, customer requirements, and business needs to develop the digital ecosystem architecture, prioritizing key capabilities for integration.
3. Conduct enterprise maturity assessments and gap analyses for digital engineering implementation.
4. Enhance engineering capabilities to reduce defects, rework, and improve productivity.
5. Collaborate with IT on data migration and platform updates.
6. Create metrics to demonstrate improvements in rapid development and delivery.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree with a minimum of 9 years of relevant experience, or a Graduate Degree with at least 7 years, or 13 years of experience in lieu of a degree.
• Degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, or physics from an accredited university.
• Experience with modern technology, architecture, and automation in engineering capabilities.
• Experience in systems engineering, enterprise architecture, and data strategies.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in training development and digital engineering integration.
• Experience in process transformation and data-driven decision making.
• Ability to work in diverse teams to meet business needs.
