Job summary

QinetiQ US in Chantilly, VA is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to provide model-based systems engineering support to a Department of War program. The candidate will lead a modeling and simulation team, advise program managers, and ensure mission engineering best practices across complex RDT&E projects.

Ideal candidates have 15+ years total experience with 10+ in M&S, a BS in engineering or physics, TS/SCI clearance, and hands-on use of AFSIM and CAMEO.

• 15 years of total experience, with 10+ years of practical systems engineering experience specifically within M&S.

Responsibilities

• Ensure mission engineering and system engineering best practices across the organization.
• Develop, design and configure systems in support of complex projects; provide MBSE guidance to PMs and SETAs.
• Develop and validate simulation models using tools such as AFSIM, CAMEO and/or other Modeling and Simulation tools.
• Collaborate with engineers, SETAs and government PMs to align simulations with CONOPs and TTPs.
• Coordinate with external stakeholders across the Department of War and DARPA.
• Assist with developing processes, training materials to ensure SBSE and mission engineering practices.
