Job summary
BWXT, a leader in nuclear solutions, seeks a Systems Engineer for Digital Manufacturing & Systems Integration. You will drive the digital, automated manufacturing environment from pilot to full-scale production, bridging engineering, IT, operations, and enterprise systems to form a cohesive, compliant facility of the future.
You will define system requirements, integrate MES, ERP, analytics, and automation, and ensure cybersecurity and regulatory alignment across the plant in Jonesborough,
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Industrial, Systems Engineering, or related discipline.
- Ten (10) years of industrial manufacturing experience.
- Experience integrating engineering, manufacturing, operations, and IT systems and teams.
- Must be a U.S. citizen capable of obtaining and maintaining a DOE clearance.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain the integrated manufacturing systems architecture for HPDU production.
- Lead integration of MES, lab systems, automation platforms, ERP, analytics, and engineering tools.
- Partner with IT to define and execute a digital roadmap for phased deployment.
- Evaluate AI, digital twins, MBSE tools, and automation to advance manufacturing.
- Ensure compliance with nuclear quality, configuration management, cybersecurity, and regulatory standards.
- Support commissioning, operational readiness, and sustainment of digital systems.
