Job summary

Long Wall Company is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer for the Cyclops Interceptor Program to own system requirements, architecture, interfaces, and verification planning across propulsion, avionics, structures, and software. You will work with the Chief Engineer to ensure a scalable, traceable system design and drive disciplined development.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience defining requirements, architecture, and verification plans for multi-discipline systems.
• Experience with interface control documentation and configuration management.
• Strong ability to build and maintain system-level requirements and traceability matrices.
• Excellent communication skills translating architecture into guidance across disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Own system level requirements for the Cyclops interceptor; maintain through design and verification.
• Maintain full traceability from customer objectives to subsystem requirements.
• Develop and maintain system architecture integrating propulsion, avionics, structures, GNC, software, and test operations.
• Establish and control Interface Control Documents (ICDs) for stable interfaces.
• Own system-level verification plan and define verification methods and test flows.
• Coordinate with discipline leads to align designs with architecture and verification constraints.
• Support Chief Engineer with structured artifacts for baseline and major decisions.
• Work with Mission Assurance to ensure safety, reliability, and readiness criteria.
• Lead system-level reviews and integration checkpoints with complete, config-controlled artifacts.
• Manage changes to requirements and architecture with documented impact analysis.
• Support integration and government milestone engagements with clear readiness artifacts.
