Job summary

Gormat seeks an experienced Sr Systems Engineer to provide technical direction for complex DoD hardware/software systems, focusing on requirements elicitation, architecture, and security integration. You will lead, evaluate, and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams to ensure resilience and mission success.

Ideal candidates have 15+ years in systems engineering with 6+ years in lead roles, and hold TS/SCI with polygraph, plus familiarity with Zero Trust and DoDAF standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of Systems Engineering experience (or equivalent via education).
• Minimum 6 years as Lead Systems Engineer with cross-disciplinary collaboration.
• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph is required.
• Experience supporting Zero Trust architecture, implementation, or engineering.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction for development, engineering, interfacing, integration, and testing of complex hardware/software systems.
• Lead cybersecurity assessments of large-scale DoD systems with Defensive/Offensive Operations mindset.
• Perform system requirement validation and security integration into acquisition documents.
• Evaluate contractor proposals for system resiliency, security, and cybersecurity considerations.
• As Lead Sr Systems Engineer, contribute to building a deep, capable team.
• Foster client relationships to gain insights to improve mission outcomes.
