Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to direct the lifecycle of software, network, and cloud systems across FAA weather programs and cloud infrastructure initiatives. You will lead teams, drive design decisions, and ensure alignment with enterprise standards and program objectives.

Responsibilities include modeling interfaces, executing trade studies, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, secure cloud-based solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 9 years of relevant experience; graduate degree reduces requirement to 6 years.
• 9+ years professional experience in engineering.
• Experience with technical planning and analysis across software, network, and cloud lifecycles.

Responsibilities

• Conducts technical planning and analysis across all phases of software, network, and cloud lifecycles from concept to delivery.
• Lead program gate reviews (SRR, SDR, PDR, CDR, TRR) and ensure traceability across artifacts.
• Coordinate with SI&T leadership to ensure cohesive operation across software modules and cloud infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain ICDs to define interfaces between software services and cloud resources.
• Support verification, validation, and security packages for cloud and software systems.
