Job summary

L3Harris, a leader in defense and weather solutions, seeks a Lead Systems Engineer to direct cloud-based architectures and SDLC rigor across FAA weather programs and related proposals. You will guide cross-functional teams of software, network, and cloud engineers, translating requirements into robust system designs.

Responsibilities include developing ICDs, performing trade studies, and ensuring alignment with enterprise standards while maintaining security and performance objectives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; 9+ years of related experience; graduate degree with 6+ years, or 12+ years without degree.
• AWS certification (Solutions Architect or Practitioner) or other cloud certifications.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead systems, software, and cloud initiatives across programs and proposals.
• Design, document, and review system interfaces and ICDs.
• Coordinate with SI&T to verify and validate cloud and software systems.
• Develop and maintain interface definitions between software services and cloud resources.
