Job summary

Integra LifeSciences seeks an Associate Manager to lead a systems engineering team responsible for algorithm development, system modeling, and hardware-software integration across the medical device product lifecycle.

In this role you will drive cross-functional collaboration with engineering, quality, and regulatory affairs to ensure requirements traceability, design controls, and risk management are upheld while mentoring a multidisciplinary team and delivering robust system solutions.

Qualifications

• Advanced degree (M.Sc. or Ph.D.) in Engineering, Physics, Applied Mathematics or Computer Science.
• 8+ years of experience as Systems, Integration, Hardware, Software, Mechanical, or Biomedical engineer.
• 3+ years systems engineering experience in medical device companies.
• Experience developing signal-processing, control, imaging, or optimization algorithms.
• Strong knowledge of IEC 62304, IEC 60601, ISO 14971, and design controls.
• Proficiency with modeling, simulation environments, and requirements management tools.
• Experience in Agile product development and translating clinical needs into quantitative requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead systems and hardware requirements definition, development, and traceability throughout product lifecycle.
• Establish algorithm development methodologies and oversee verification, validation, and performance characterization.
• Lead system modeling and simulation activities to support design decisions and architecture trade-offs.
• Define hardware-software integration strategies and manage integration planning and issue resolution.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a multidisciplinary team of Systems Engineers as Agile Product Owner.
