Job summary

MI Windows and Doors LLC is seeking a Systems Engineer responsible for provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems for MITER Brands. Qualifications

• 7+ years experience as a Server System Administrator in Windows, Unix, or Linux.
• 5+ years networking experience, including firewalls, switches, and routers.
• Experience supporting multiple locations is desired.

Job Overview

Systems Engineer responsible for provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of systems hardware and software and related infrastructure for MITER Brands. Eligible pay range is $96,000 - $120,000 depending on experience and qualifications. Location: Tacoma, WA or North Venice, FL. Travel required 10%‑25%.

Responsibilities

• Perform life‑cycle maintenance of systems.
• Execute data backups and disaster recovery operations; provide restores.
• Proactively monitor backup health and system‑wide health, responding to issues.
• Analyze system logs to identify issues.
• Recommend changes to improve system and network configurations.
• Respond to system outages, install and configure new hardware and software.
• Document system configuration.
• Troubleshoot hardware and software problems.
• Apply OS updates, patches, and configuration changes.
• Perform routine audits of systems and software.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree in Computer/IT related field desired.
• 7+ years experience as a Server System Administrator in Windows, Unix, and/or Linux.
• 5+ years networking experience, including firewalls, switches, and routers.
• Experience supporting multiple locations is desired.
• Experience with DNS, DHCP, Active Directory.
• Experience managing MS Internet Information Server (IIS).
• Experience with MS SQL, Oracle or MySQL desired.
• Experience with NetApp Storage preferred.
• Experience with VMware and Nutanix virtualization platforms preferred.
• Strong knowledge of business needs and customer trust.
• Excellent problem‑solving, communication, documentation, interpersonal skills.
• Willing to travel 10%‑25%.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged standing and periodic lifting, stretching, twisting.
• Prolonged sitting and terminal use.
• May be required to lift up to 50 lbs. periodically.
• Work outside normal hours may be required, including weekends.
