Serve Robotics is looking for a Lead Systems Engineer in Redwood City, California to ensure the safety and performance of our autonomous last-mile delivery robot. You will be responsible for decomposing requirements and leading interdisciplinary teams in the development of this complex system.
The ideal candidate has a B.S. degree and over 5 years of experience in robotic systems, with skills in systems engineering, communication, and data analysis. A compensation range of $180K – $220K is offered, alongside equity for standout candidates.

As a Lead Systems Engineer, you are responsible for ensuring that our robot is safe, robust, performant, and satisfies market/customer needs. You will own the decomposition of requirements, architectures, and specifications of an autonomous last‑mile delivery robot, from high‑level system requirements and architecture all the way to low‑level component selection criteria and performance budgets. You will serve as the glue of the organization, working across many teams and disciplines to help orchestrate the development of a complex system by breaking high‑level goals down into actionable information across various functions.
