Job summary

Honeywell is seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to design, implement, and manage complex systems across industries from Salem, OR on a hybrid schedule. You will collaborate across hardware, software and network domains to ensure quality and security while aligning with Honeywell standards.

The role requires 6+ years in full stack development, strong leadership, and hands-on experience with React, TypeScript, HTML/CSS, Node.js and cloud platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in full stack software development.
• Proficiency in front-end technologies including React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS.
• Experience with back-end technologies such as Node.js.
• Experience with cloud technologies such as GCP, AWS, or Azure.
• Knowledge of other database systems such as MongoDB, SQL.
• Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
• Experience using GitHub, Jira, and other collaborative tools.
• Strong leadership and management skills.
• Proven ability to drive successful software development projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and development of advanced systems, including hardware, software, and network components.
• Provide successful execution of complex engineering projects.
• Implement and enforce security measures and compliance standards to safeguard systems and data.
• Lead the deployment and configuration of systems, ensuring they are installed correctly, tested rigorously, and perform optimally.
• Provide technical leadership in identifying and resolving system issues, minimizing downtime, and ensuring systems remain operational.
• Identify opportunities for process and system improvements, implement enhancements, and contribute to the optimization of operations.
