Job summary

You will translate business requirements into system architectures, lead cross-functional teams, and collaborate with product management to define competitive solutions. A BS/BA in engineering and 10+ years in systems engineering are expected.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in systems engineering and design.
• Experience in architecture, requirements, system performance and scalability.
• Multi-discipline expertise in system design of complex electronics, networks, embedded software, and controls.
• Ability to define system-level software requirements and interface with software engineering.
• Track record of commercially successful product development.
• Experience with instrumentation design and product development including firmware, FPGA, data buses, power management and control software.

Responsibilities

• Design system requirements and architectures.
• Collaborate with senior staff to interpret customer requirements and system designs.
• Partner with product management and engage with potential customers to define competitive solutions.
• Provide systems engineering oversight from concept to verification.
• Work with functional teams to integrate the full system and remove roadblocks.
• Influence cross-functional teams across hardware, software, QA, and NPI.
• Stay up to date with industry trends impacting the area of responsibility.
• Plan tasks for supporting design groups and define workflows.
