Job summary

Valinor seeks a software engineer to own the architecture, data handling, and product layer of a stealth software stack. You’ll collaborate with the GM and a small team to turn raw sensor data into a trusted end-user picture, designing interfaces across sensor integration and APIs for a cohesive system.

The role emphasizes leading architecture, building data pipelines, and owning cloud infrastructure while enabling a rapid, secure product development cycle in a defense-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Architectural leadership experience building systems with edge/embedded components or data pipelines.
• Designing and operating time-series data storage and ingestion pipelines (MQTT, Kafka).
• Ability to move between backend/data pipeline work and frontend work, with awareness of embedded constraints.
• Hands-on experience with at least one sensing/signal domain (acoustic/EOIR/radar) and interest in expanding to others.
• Ownership of CI/CD and cloud infra (AWS preferred) without a dedicated DevOps role.
