Job summary

CDS Life Transitions in Webster, NY seeks a Sr. Systems Administrator to design, configure, and manage our server architecture and infrastructure. You will support critical business applications, troubleshoot issues, and perform preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities include deploying new servers, maintaining security, backups, and working with IT staff and vendors to implement solutions. Strong Windows Server, AD, and VMware experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Information Technology, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Five or more years experience administering Active Directory, Windows, and VMWare.
• Cloud Implementation and support experience preferred (AWS/Azure/Office 365).
• MCSE, CCNA, or VCP preferred, but not necessary.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, and implement IT solutions across technologies.
• Design and deploy new servers and applications as well as enhancements to existing systems.
• Collaborate with IT department, CDS staff, vendors, and other agencies to implement solutions.
• Analyze complex business situations to recommend and implement technical solutions.
• Maintain security of servers and applications through patching and vulnerability management.
• Participate in server and security audits, backups, and recovery procedures per DR/BCP strategies.
• Provide user support and technical consultation to IT staff.
• Maintain technical and process documentation.
• Stay current with technologies and self-develop.
