Job summary

Tensordyne is hiring for a Platform Software Engineer to lead design, development, and testing of system-level services for our AI inference platform. You will collaborate with hardware, silicon, and validation teams to deliver robust software across firmware, BSPs, drivers, and Linux modules.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in low-level systems and embedded software, strong C/C++ skills, and experience with AI inference environments.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience developing low-level systems and embedded software, firmware, and tooling for high-performance computing systems deployed to data center customers.
• Hands-on experience bringing up and debugging complex Linux-based systems at the kernel and driver level, including embedded Linux, device drivers, and/or RTOS environments; experience with SoC/silicon bring-up is highly desirable.
• Expert programming experience in C and C++, with proficiency in Python, Bash/Shell, and/or related programming languages. Rust experience is a plus.
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and comfortable working across hardware, silicon, and software teams in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Excellent technical communication skills, with the ability to clearly explain complex technical concepts and practical solutions.
• BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.

Responsibilities

• Lead requirements gathering, design, and development of system-level services, tools, and supporting tests for Tensordyne’s AI inference platform software, including debugging, profiling, and analysis capabilities.
• Support cross-functional engineering teams in the bring-up and validation of platform software on AI inference systems, and partner with hardware, silicon, and validation teams.
• Work closely with silicon and hardware teams on hardware/software co-design, firmware and BSP development, device drivers, and Linux kernel modules.
• Optimize system-level performance and power across the AI inference platform, working with PCIe, I2C, SPI, and JTAG.
• Occasional travel to partner, customer, or contract manufacturer sites may be required.
