Job summary

Swiss American Screw Products is seeking a hands-on Swiss CNC Setup/Operator to lead the 2nd or 3rd shift in a small, precision shop near Detroit. You will set up, adjust, and troubleshoot Swiss machines, mentor operators, and ensure parts move on schedule with tight tolerances.

The role emphasizes leadership, process improvement, and adherence to AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 standards. Start times are 4:00 PM or 9:00 PM with a 4-day week and 10-hour shifts, plus competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of experience in Swiss CNC machine setup and machining.
Leadership or supervisory experience preferred.
Experience on Citizen, Star, or KMX Swiss CNC machines is a strong advantage.
CNC programming experience preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Perform setup, operation, and troubleshooting of Swiss CNC machines.
Lead and support your shift's production personnel, driving productivity and efficiency.
Motivate and guide team members to meet production, quality, and safety targets.
Ensure all employees follow company policies, safety regulations, and quality procedures.
Hold the shift to AS9100D and ISO 9001:2015 quality standards.
Use inspection tools to verify precision and quality of parts.
Collaborate with management to improve processes and support production goals.
