Job summary

Atlanta Swim Academy is seeking a dedicated Swim Instructor to join our expanding program and help students of all ages stay safe in the water. You will develop leadership, communication and group-management skills in a fun, family-oriented environment.

In this role you will teach progressive swimming skills, lead small groups, coordinate lesson plans, and communicate progress to parents. Opportunities for advancement and cross-department training are available.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of swimming skills and mechanics.
• Excellent communication with children and adults.
• Comfortable working with children of all ages.
• Ability to lead and motivate.
• Weekend availability for a 4-hour shift (Sat or Sun).
• Certification in lifeguard, CPR and first aid preferred or obtainable after hiring.

Responsibilities

• Lead small groups (1-4) of swimmers through progressively challenging skills.
• Plan and organize class time with lesson plans.
• Teach with encouragement and positive reinforcement.
• Provide consistency by working each assigned lesson.
• Communicate progress with parents and swimmers.
• Complete paperwork and reports.
• Enforce facility policies and safety rules.
• Cover material required in a level.
