Job summary

IDEX is seeking a Sustaining Engineering Supervisor at our Punta Gorda, FL site to lead product support engineering and Technical Services. The role combines hands-on problem solving with leadership of engineers and technicians, driving improvements in product reliability, quality, and customer satisfaction while partnering across Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Sales, and Customer Service.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 5+ years of sustaining engineering or manufacturing support experience.
• Experience troubleshooting product issues in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on testing, failure analysis, and lab equipment experience.
• Ability to lead projects and drive problem resolution.
• Strong knowledge of electronics hardware, embedded firmware, or electro-mechanical systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead resolution of product quality and performance issues affecting manufacturing and customers.
• Conduct root cause analyses on field failures and defects.
• Support cross-functional teams with technical problem resolution.
• Own warranty evaluations and corrective actions.
• Develop and execute verification and validation plans.
• Oversee Technical Services operations and supervise technicians.
• Establish and track KPIs for response time and warranty trends.
• Drive continuous improvement of services processes and documentation.
