Job summary

BGE, Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking a skilled Survey Party Chief to support public and private infrastructure projects. You will read plans, supervise field crews, and ensure data quality on site at our Houston or The Woodlands office.

The role emphasizes safety, calibration, and coordination with engineers, technicians, and project managers. A High School diploma and 3–4+ years in survey are required, with leadership experience and valid driver’s license a must.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; vocational training is a plus.
• 3-4+ years of survey experience; 2 years as Party Chief preferred.
• Basic knowledge of construction plans and maps.
• Must have valid driver’s license.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and work outdoors 8–10 hours daily.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret site plans, maps, and survey data.
• Direct field work for standard survey types.
• Perform computations and record field data.
• Train technicians in Total Station and RTK GIS tools.
• Maintain safe field operations and calibrate equipment.
