Job summary

Penn Medicine in Philadelphia is seeking a Surgical Technologist Lead to oversee perioperative supply readiness and act as a clinical liaison with Sterile Processing and the Clinical Nurse Coordinator. This role emphasizes proactive case cart management and accurate tray assembly.

You will support patient care during operations under supervision, ensure items are in place, and collaborate across teams to optimize case flow. Requires CST and BLS credentials.

Qualifications

• Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)
• Surgical Technologist (Required)
• Surgical Technologist Certification or 15+ years' experience in lieu of certification (with documentation in US Army/Navy/Air Force paths)

Responsibilities

• Supports infection surveillance and patient rights, and participates in intraoperative care under supervision.
• Ensure all required items (implements, supplies, equipment, personnel) are in place prior to cases.
• Collaborate with Sterile Processing, ISC and Clinical Nurse Coordinator to streamline sets and trays, and facilitate case flow.

Education

H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)

Education Specialization:Equivalent Experience:2+ years Required to hold Surgical Technologist Certification and/or have 15+ years' experience as a Surgical Technologist.
