Job summary

Parkland Health seeks a Surgical Technologist for Operating Room Perioperative Services. This full-time, rotating-shift role supports a 24/7 OR, with a 40-hour workweek; no fixed shifts.

You will prep rooms, assist during surgeries, and maintain sterile technique while coordinating with the surgical team and staff. Required certifications include an accredited surgical technology program and current CPR; readiness to self-schedule and adapt to changing cases is essential.

Qualifications

• Completed accredited program for surgical technologist and certified.
• Certification by NBSTSA/NCCT or approved program; OR equivalent.
• Current healthcare provider CPR from AHA/Red Cross/MTN.

Responsibilities

• Assist surgical team during routine and complex procedures in scrub role.
• Set up and prepare rooms with instruments, sutures, supplies and equipment; maintain readiness.
• Maintain aseptic technique and ensure sterile environment in OR.
• Provide training and orientation to new employees and students as required.
• Communicate patient data accurately to the team and management.
• Stay updated on surgical practice trends and hospital policies.
