Job summary

Qualifications

• One year of surgical assistance experience is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Surgical Technician Certification preferred.
• High school diploma or GED is required.

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical duties of Surgical Technician.
• Creates and updates a centralized log of department equipment and instruments.
• Ensures adequate stock of supplies and tracks purchases.
• Maintains and updates the Charge Master.
• Provides guidance and instruction to other staff; assists with staffing coverage.
• Provides technical support for laser surgery requirements, if applicable.
