Job summary

UW Medical Center-Montlake is seeking a Surgical Technologist Lead for the Montlake Operating Rooms. The role is full-time, days, with 10-hour shifts, providing leadership and technical guidance across OR teams.

Key duties include coordinating room turnovers, maintaining equipment, and training staff while ensuring compliance with UWMC policies and procedures. Registered Surgical Technologist with 3+ years of experience is required.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Surgical Technologist program.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and perform as a surgical scrub technologist for procedures.
• Review Preference Cards to ensure items are readily available for procedures.
• Assist with cleaning and setup of the OR and equipment, maintain storage and safety of instruments.
• Train and direct RN 2s, Surgical Technologists, HAs, PCTs and EVS staff in OR prep and turnover.
• Manage daily shift schedule and serve as a clinical resource for policy adherence.
