Job summary

Hyde Park Surgery Center in San Jose is seeking a Surgical Tech Coordinator (Lead Tech) to join our outpatient surgical team. The position performs scrubbing, maintains a sterile field, and prepares supplies and equipment for ENT, Orthopedic, Pain Management, and Spine procedures.

Collaboration with physicians and staff is essential to ensure efficient patient flow. The role emphasizes teamwork, quality improvement involvement, and adherence to aseptic techniques.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED; completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Certification as required by state and/or center
• Ambulatory surgical center experience strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and patient care
• Understanding of aseptic techniques
• Ability to adapt to changing patient conditions
• Excellent teamwork and communication with staff, patients, and physicians

Responsibilities

• The Surgical Technologist scrubs for surgical procedures and demonstrates competence while functioning as a member of the surgical team.
• Maintains a sterile field during surgical procedures.
• Prepares supplies, instruments, and equipment related to these procedures.
• Supports the philosophy, objectives, and goals of the Surgery Center.
• Supports and participates in quality improvement activities.
